Guess this guy’s not really enjoying the “View Point” as much as he is enjoying his Siesta….

Just returned from a great 2-week trip with Sanne through Andalucia, Spain. We visited Malaga, Gibraltar, Cadiz, Seville, Ronda, Cordoba, Jaen, Granada and the Sierra Nevada. More photographs will follow soon.

Sanne at the entrance of a cave in the Egyptian Sinai desert, early in the morning. We hiked up here after spending the night in the desert – a unique experience in itself.

After the “Gates of Ibn-Tulun”, here’s the “Light of Ibn-Tulun” (from the same mosque in Cairo of course). With the risk of repeating on the same theme here, but I just absolutely adored this empty and moody historical place in the middle of the most chaotic city of Egypt.

This image was created in the mosque of Ibn-Tulun in Cairo, during a beautiful sunny day last December. No one else was there, it’s a unique place.

The weather in Iceland can change rapidly, in minutes rather than hours. This strange sky is a perfect example… Shot in the north west of Iceland.

This monchrome landscape was photographed near Kirkjubaerklaustur on the south coast of Iceland. You can clearly see in this landscape where lava streams have run. Legend tells a villager stopped the lava stream right in front of the village by simply telling it to halt there.

Jökulsárlón is the famous lake of ice at the south end of the Vatnajökull glacier. Appearing first only in 1934-1935, the lake grew from 7.9 km² in 1975 to at least 18 km² today because of heavy melting of the Icelandic glaciers. Approaching a depth of 200 m, Jökulsárlón is now probably the second deepest lake in Iceland.
